Lesson: 13 - Edit with patch, clipping, magic cut and custom shapes.

Purpose:Learn how to patch an image, clipping an image to a text, remove BG and add custom shapes.

Materials Required

Laptop, Internet connection with Photopea software, E-mail id with password.

Prior knowledge

Students should be able to download images and be familiar with layers, and selecting a particular part of an image.

Exercises

Exercise:1



1. Students use the lasso tool and patch tool to remove an object and replace it with a patch.

3. Students use the magic cut option to remove the background.

4. Students use the custom shape tool with its parameters to insert complex shapes on the workspace.

Teacher's Instruction
  1. While the students learn, the teacher should observe whether they articulate the words like lasso tool, content aware fill, patch tool, type tool, clipping mask, magic cut, remove background, custom shapes, export, parametric shape and become familiar with these terms.
  2. Guidance should be given for the students for every exercise and allow them to share in their peer group.
  3. Ask them to remove the complex background using the magic cut tool. Is it possible?
  4. Ask the students to use the clipping mask to clip an image to a shape.
  5. Ask them to find a particular shape from custom shapes’ parameters.
